Các thay thế khác của BY CHANCE là: By chance = by mistake = by accident = by coincidence = accidentally

Ví dụ:

They had met by chance at university and finished up getting married. I bumped into her quite by chance in Oxford Street. The pair met often — at first by chance but later by design.
